ABOUT KLOO
KLOO derives from the pronunciation of my name Kluckow (Kloo…co) My paternal ancestor was from Prussia, now Germany.

The mechanism of scent, combined with amazing plant ingredients have the ability to nourish body, mind and soul, as well as supporting our precious earth. About Clinical Aromatherapy
Clinical aromatherapy is the educated and measured use of therapeutic essential oils for symptom relief, nervous system regulation, emotional support. Skilful application of precious plant materials helps create the conditions for supporting our body’s natural ability to achieve homeostasis (balance). The quality of an essential oil is paramount when working with symptom support and relief.

The limbic system is a complex system of nerves and networks in the brain which controls basic emotions, behaviour, long-term memory and smell. When we smell something it’s our limbic system that stores and then interprets the emotional significance of an aroma. This is why an essential oil can instantly trigger a behavioural response in our body and why certain aromas put us on guard, while others calm us down.

Aromatherapy is proving invaluable in integrative health and is being employed within many NHS hospitals and treatments.
A bit about ethics
I believe in complete traceability, as do ALL my suppliers. Most ingredients are traceable back to the seed. We DO NOT work with endangered plants. We rigorously source the finest quality ingredients from a vibrant and diverse community whose inspiring stories of fair trade, sustainable agriculture, organics, ethical wildcrafting, poverty alleviation and the preservation of ethnobotanical biodiversity and cultures we strongly endorse and support. ALL our suppliers from ingredients to packaging have the same ethics. Most go above and beyond what would be considered ethical and spend time and money to help repair our damaged environment. From tree planting in South America and Scotland to education and much, much more. None of our ingredients or products are tested on animals. Here at KLOO we regularly treat our animals with plant medicines. We work with plant medicines from around the globe, sourcing ingredients that are synonymous with our values and ethics is paramount. We choose to buy ingredients from small owner operated, sustainable, ethical producers. After more than 20 years of clinical experience and product manufacture I have a wealth of networks for magical plant therapeutics combined with integrity filled growers and distillers who value low and slow distillation processes, which I curate into products for private clients and the KLOO product range.
ABOUT CAREY
Clinical Aromatherapist, Flower Essence practitioner, Distiller and Herbalist. More than two decades experience and ongoing qualifications; practicing with people and plants in their many forms. I have lived and worked across three continents to provide essential tools for young and elderly humans, aiding animals, plants, trees, land and houses, as required. I have a deep love and knowledge of plants for all stages and phases of life.
I began making plant medicine products for the general public, alongside my herbal medicine practice. I believe strongly in small, local businesses, creating products from the highest quality, ethically sourced, plant ingredients. Building a relationship between the client, myself and the chosen plant medicines.

I take time to consider the best ingredients for an intended purpose. All ingredients are of the highest therapeutic quality. Whilst you will find some regular, off the shelf products, most are clinical or seasonal, made in micro batches, depending on what grows in abundance each year, what treasures I manage to source from distillers and producers, what serves the times and spaces I am working in, the trends I see in clinic and the larger landscape. I love to collaborate, from corporate wellbeing to ceremony and anything else you think plant potions could support.

When I am not tending to KLOO, I am privileged to work for the Fountain Centre at the Royal Surrey Community Hospital supporting people who are living with cancer and Princess Alice Hospice supporting people in palliative care. These settings constantly challenge me to learn more and it is such a pleasure to work with the amazing people on the front lines, returning plant medicine to being part of healthcare.
